jemck at 09:30am on 25/06/2007Well, as the dentist said while removing what felt like half a toolbox from my mouth, 'that went very smoothly'. Prompting the nurse to say in some surprise, 'are we all finished?' There are certainly worse things to hear when sat in the dentist's chair.
I wasn't saying a lot, since our dentist very much believes in painless dentistry, so I was numb from the ear and cheekbone down on that side, and well round to the far side on my jaw.
As anticipated of course, Friday was no fun at all when that anaesthetic wore off - pain in the jaw combined with a vicious sinus headache I hadn't expected. But painkillers did their thing, and Saturday and Sunday saw progressive improvement.
Today is definitely a work day and with luck I won't need the painkillers. Which is a good thing as thanks to a couple of things coming together, I now have a lot on and not a lot of slack in the schedule.
Better get to it!
