Speculation, Fact and Fiction

The lack of posting hereabouts has been directly related to the quantities of socialising we've been doing over the past coupla weeks, with pals and families and including visiting three sets of friends which involved admiring one extensive house extension project and one whole new house. Plus husband's birthday.

And we still didn't get to see all the pals we haven't seen nearly enough of latterly - but I did manage conversations with them that mostly ended up as variations on a theme of 'goodness, where does the time go with all of us working and these teenage children we have now...'

The big event of the season was my sister's wedding, to thorougly splendid chap, of whom we definitely approve. They are really good together, on so many levels, and have been right from the start. And my speech at the reception was well received. Phew. Mind you, this whole photo-sharing on the web thingy isn't exactly to my taste. I just do not photograph well, at least 95% percent of the time. No, I shall not supply links.

So, on to 2009? Yup, so I have a pile of books for immediate reading, fiction and non-fiction, plus both The Sekrit Projekt and Lescari Book 3 to get underway this month. And who knows what else... Well, hopefully I will, in fairly short order.

In the meantime, sons back to school tomorrow and the immediate priority is tidying the study so I can actually work in it. Given the past fortnight has seen far too many instances of 'where do I put this?' 'oh, just stick it on my desk'...
