What is the correct technical term for an 'h' sound with plenty of breath behind it?
Because younger son, sauntering through the kitchen this morning, stopped to listen to the Chief Rabbi doing Thought for the Day on Radio 4 and observed with mild interest,
'I didn't know Hannukah was pronounced with a phlegm.'
'A what?'
'A phlegm. There, he's said it again.'
'Yes, I know what you mean, but that's not what it's called.'
'What is it called then?'
*short pause*
'Have you packed your school bag yet, and look at the time. Get a move on and give your brother a shout.'
Can anyone elucidate? Ideally before they get home from school...
Last day of term hereabouts. I am pretty much shutting up shop workwise till Jan 5th. We have the whole Xmas thing to deal with and then my kid sister is getting married on the 30th December - yay.
Come January, I should be able to announce details of Sekrit Projekt A - the little one. And there's the possibility of Sekrit Projekt B and even maybe C as well for 2009. It could be a busy year...
