Last week's quota of writing was just about reached. Had a nice chat with my mum when I deposited sons down in Hampshire.
Crime weekend was utterly fabulous. I would write a full report if I were not desperately trying to maintain a decent work rate here in the lounge with the cats on the dining table along with my laptop and notes and sounds of decorating and Radio 2 reverberating through the house.
You will recall this project includes replastering all ceilings and replacing all interior doors/carpets? We are now at the point where the only way is forwards and we keep saying to each other, through increasingly gritted teeth, well, we're never going to have to do all this in one hit again, are we?
Today's success has been resolving the internet connectivity snafu that's kept my main working machine offline since Sunday. I've been tinkering with it when I can spare the time and getting increasingly frustrated. Today, I solved it. No, I don't know quite how. Or possibly I didn't, given it seems the ISPs been having problems of its own, as I discovered when I unshrouded one of the sons' machines in hopes of getting on line in case of desperately urgent email - and that one worked.
Okay, back to work!
