The weekend was spent on preparation for Phase 2 of the redecorating - sons' rooms.
This meant two solid days of emptying sons' rooms of all stuff - by dint of boxing up stuff and stowing same in our bedroom, plus sons both filling a creditable number of bin bags with objects once of desire but no longer. Phew.
So our bedroom is crammed full of boxes and furniture and we're sleeping on the futon sofa bed in the lounge. Which is entertaining the cats.
Today I have taken younger son to have his ingrowing toenail operation (minor, local anaesthetic job, all very straight forward) and elder son to have a dental check-up (passed with judicious approval by dentist, still room for improvement around cleaning the molars) and done my latest batch of accounts.
So as for tomorrow morning, I have three days to get the week's quote of writing done, before I take sons down to my mum's on Friday, before heading to St Hilda's College, Oxford, for the annual crime and mystery fiction conference - yey!
Once again, expect me when you see me.
