We're great fans of US cop shows in this house. So this video culled from the latest offerings supporting the US writers' strike had me laughing out loud.
With UK terrestrial telly lagging several seasons behind the US, we have plenty of episodes from the various Law & Order franchises to look forward too. What's less funny is we can expect half a season at best of the new CSI and CSI:NY that's just started, unless the strike's resolved and everyone gets back to work pronto. It's not just cop show fans that are suffering either. The knock-on effects of the strike are why Ugly Betty disappeared from our screens just before Christmas. Has someone pointed out to the media moguls that they're losing money in their foreign markets now too? And respect.
