Close of play this Friday and I think I've reached what can be called minimum safe target.
Would like to have got ahead of myself but a productive start to the week means that even working at almost exactly half-speed yesterday and today, I am still okay as regards progress on the revisions/rewrites. bearing in mind that it has been all revisions yesterday and today since I have nowhere near enough brane for the added-bit-of-original-stuff writing that I need to do at this precise juncture.
Can only hope a weekend on the sofa with hot lemon and honey and trash telly will see me fit for that on Monday. NB that's real lemon as in freshly squeezed and honey out of the jar, add hot water and if bedtime, a large slug of whisk(e)y. Lemsip tastes like tin to me. Most things with artificial sweetener do.
Anyway, thinking of dire germs and all that, I notice via Digital Spy that the BBC are going to redevelop Survivors. I remember watching the original from the mid-70's and really enjoying it. For values of a ten year old enjoying stuff about the collapse of civilisation and everyone dying of some lurgy. The opening credits have definitely stayed with me - starting where an oriental businessman type collapses in an airport. Bird flu becoming airborne, anyone? This could be good and topical, done right. Like Jericho, currently doing the post-nuclear thingy to good effect. Fingers crossed.
