One unanticipated consequence of me not being able to get to Aikido for the moment is I'm doing a few of those things I've have mentally shelved for 'one day, when I have time'. Not work stuff but other things.
Like working out how to play music on my unnecessarily fangled and complicated mobile phone, that I was talked into buying a year or so ago in an uncharacteristic moment of weakness.
So, I now have half a dozen CDs worth of assorted tunes on it, should I find myself in need of them. And have the headphones with me. Which my husband assures me don't leak an irritating tinny noise - I checked.
Anyway, emboldened by this, I've also achieved downloading From Our Own Correspondent from the BBC - a programme I enjoy but I find inconveniently timed from a work point of view.
And the BBC website offers up the possibility of subscribing to their regular pod-casting...
Which is where I retreat. It says you need podcasting software on your computer. Hmmm. Do I want to clicky on the link they offer and find myself with some unanticipated software conflict screwing up my machine in such a manner that I lose two work days unpicking it all? It's happened before...
Does anyone have any advice, recommendations or cautionary tales of adventures in podcasting that might be of use or interest here?
