Speculation, Fact and Fiction

Though we have had the same return to winter hereabouts as everyone else. The celandines on the way to school that were shiny and blooming last week are now looking very frost-bitten and sorry for themselves.

But as of yesterday afternoon, I have a cold. I now realise that doing two foreign conventions a fortnight apart is just asking for trouble, giving the bugs one picks up from the recycled plastic air on the plane(s) for the first trip the ideal incubation time to erupt just before the second journey.

Ah well, on the plus side, having had yer actual 'flu in February does enable me to precisely calibrate this as merely one of those forty-eight hour sneezing and snotty germs. So as it hit yesterday, by the time I land in Zagreb tomorrow afternoon, I should be over the worst of it, and Istrakon proper doesn't get underway till Friday. And hopefully the security regime at Heathrow won't confiscate a box of Beecham's cold and flu capsules.

This is me going off in search of hot lemon and honey.
