We actually have sunshine and pale blue sky lightly brushed with high, fine streaks of white cloud. Goodness, what a difference that makes to morning morale after days and weeks of grey and windy wetness.
It's a shame we don't still have an open fire. I could have collected a goodly supply of kindling on the way to school this morning, from all the quite sizeable bits blown off the trees.
Given we live about as far as it's possible from the coast in England - in any direction - we don't tend to get really high winds very often. So when we do, I know anyone closer to the sea is really getting a hammering. Sympathies to anyone who's been battening down the hatches.
