Speculation, Fact and Fiction

I've just heard from slovobooks that David Stewart passed away in the night. I see the news is spreading rapidly, as anyone who has visited an Irish convention in the past howeverlong will remember Dave with great affection.

He was one of those people who made Interaction last year in Glasgow such a success, with so much positive press coverage. Fans in general have lost a stalwart who did so much behind the scenes, generously giving his time and energy and the benefit of his professional skills as a journalist.

His friends have lost a truly lovely man. I can't begin to tell you how much sadness this news brings me. I can't begin to imagine how his family must feel.

So I'm not really in the mood to be writing about a fun week in Scotland. I hope you understand.
