I thought I'd get that old joke in before anyone else.
The thing is, I'm going to be on BBC Radio 2's Weekender programme this coming Friday, along with Mark Chadbourn, my associate in
writefantastic and from the British Fantasy Society, Marie O'Regan and Paul Kane. We'll be talking about FantasyCon and the genre in general, as of course, FantasyCon starts this coming Friday.
Now, some of this was pre-recorded last week and we were talking to Neil Rosser, the man from the Beeb for about an hour and a half, and having a really interesting time. Only the slot allocated in the whole two hour show is actually going to be about 8-10 minutes. He's also aiming to catch up with Neil Gaiman, Chris Fowler and possibly, Clive Barker.
So whatever's broadcast will most certainly be the edited highlights. But hey, that's showbiz!
The Weekender programme runs from 10 pm to midnight on Friday, and will be available via the Listen Again facility on the Radio 2 website, for those who are curious and are either abroad, at FantasyCon or will be comfily tucked up in bed at that hour.
