As well as doing aikido, I head to the gym for an hour or so once a week, twice if work permits but that hasn't happened much lately. Anyway, I take along my CD walkman to block out whatever inanity the youthful staff have tuned the TV sets on the walls to.
And something strange keeps happening. I take a random selection from our highly eclectic CD collection and I keep on ending up on the treadmill with something weirdly apposite.
Recent examples: Chris Rea's The Road to Hell, The Proclaimers' 500 Miles, Keep On Running by whoever that was back in the 60s, The Beatles' Long and Winding Road. And I know there have been others but I'm not anywhere near the CDs at the moment to check.
I reckon there's scope for burning a whole compilation album. Anyone else got any suggestions?
